calling brake guru

My 95/6 gtb legacy has a sticking brake caliper f/ns can these be serviced or should i just get a bigger hammer if so are they interchangeable with the classic two pot caliper please advise or im gonna miss a good run out sunday cheers the dave aka the dawg

the old sticking caliper problem,,you can remove the pads a press the pedal to force them out and them reseat with old pad and big stilshions,2 man job thought..

iirc the caliper carriers from the impreza are the same as the leggy..

Thaks ed but i had too bite the bullet ive been and spent too much money on a pair of new two pots just too be safe

sorry i missed this one,the calipers are the same and there are also kits to re condition the seals so you can strip the the caliper right down take the piston out and clean it up and the sliding pins on top an bottom of the caliper ,as you say you have got new set you could do the recon on them an get some off your money back by selling them as recons.

biged:a tip dont use stilsons get a large G clamp much easyer for pushing the pistons in and stops them goin in on the p**s and locking up. :thumbsup:

most people don't have G,Clamps in their home tool boxes fella,think about it ;)

They dont cost alot prob a tener and you can get them from eny diy shop's maybe you should invest in some

And i wouldnt attempt anything clamp wise it brings back a scary ann summers moment i once had
